January: Buy Buy Baby Big Deal Baby Sale
This twice-yearly event from Buy Buy Baby features close-out prices on thousands of items for your little one. You’ll find discounts on everything from big-ticket purchases like strollers and car seats (up to 25 percent off!), to everyday items like breast milk storage bags and diapers. The sale typically lasts for a little over a week, and each day of the sale means a new Deal of the Day.
February: Carter’s Baby Love Sale
Carter’s offers great prices on baby clothes all year long, but during their semi-annual Baby Love event, you can save even more. Take advantage of the opportunity to get the brand’s bodysuits, dresses, leggings, pajamas and more at up to 75 percent off.
February: Amazon February Baby Sale
Prime Day isn’t the only time to save big at Amazon. Each February, the site hosts its Baby Sale, and you can score deals on maternity items, car seats, strollers, diapers, toys, nursery gear and more. While most deals hover around 15 to 30 percent, Amazon has gone above in the past, like offering 52 percent off of one of its most popular pregnancy pillows.
February to March: Walmart Baby Days Deals
You can find hundreds of discounts during Walmart’s Baby Days Deals event. In the past, there were deals on car seats, strollers, nursery items, kids’ bedroom furniture, toys and clothing — and some of the top baby brands on sale included Graco, Baby Einstein and Delta Children.
March: Buy Buy Baby Sweet Dreams Sale
In honor of Sleep Awareness Week (held in mid-March), Buy Buy Baby usually hosts its Sweet Dreams Sale. The event is designed to help you save big on everything you might need to help your little one sleep better: bassinets, cribs and crib mattresses, baby monitors and sound machines, pajamas and bedding. You could essentially furnish your entire nursery for a fraction of the price.
March: Gerber Childrenswear Semi-Annual Sale
Babies outgrow clothing quickly, which can make it hard for parents to justify spending too much on baby clothes. Luckily, during Gerber Childrenswear’s Semi-Annual Sale, you can snag doorbusters starting at just $3. The event means more than 50 percent off on the brand’s high-quality, adorable baby clothes and accessories. During previous sales, outfit sets started at $5, bath towels and other accessories started at $6 and classic bodysuits were as low as $3.
April: Carter’s Baby Boom Sale
When you’re a parent, a new season means you probably need to get a new set of seasonally appropriate clothing for your little one. Enter: Carter’s Baby Boom Sale, which offers up to 60 percent off items ranging from warm-weather layettes for newborns to cute swimwear. And you’ll have a lot to choose from: in the past, there were more than 2,000 items on sale!
April: Target Car Seat Trade-In Event
If you have a car seat collecting dust, then Target’s Car Seat Trade-In Event is for you. You can bring in any old car seat — that includes infant car seats, convertible car seats, old ones, expired seats — and get a 20 percent off coupon that’s valid on select baby gear. All you have to do is sign up for Target Circle (it’s free!) and bring your car seat to the Guest Services area at a nearby store. Target partners with a company called Waste Management to ensure that the car seat materials are recycled and used to create new items.
April: Wayfair Way Day Sale
You might normally think of Wayfair as a great site for affordable furniture (and it is), but it also has tons of baby and kids’ furniture. During the 48-hour Way Day Sale, you can save up to 80 percent on items like cribs, changing tables, nursery rugs and more.
June or July: Amazon Prime Day
Did you know that Prime Day is a great time to score epic markdowns on everything from cribs to high chairs to maternity wear? It’s an excellent time to shop for big-ticket items and also stock up on everyday essentials. Some of the best deals for parents have been on toys, diapers, car seats, postpartum essentials, wireless breast pumps and baby monitors. Note: In the past, this event has occured in July so keep an eye on Amazon for their offical announcement.
July: Target Deal Days Sale
For the past couple of Prime Days, Target has launched its Deals Days event at the same time, offering parents even more options to save. Target has really stood out for its incredibly low prices on baby and children’s clothing (although there have also been some good deals on popular car seats and toys).
July: Nordstrom Anniversary Sale
Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale is known for offering great deals on men’s and women’s clothing, but it’s also a great opportunity to find discounts on upscale baby gear, including car seats, strollers, baby clothes and more. For the past couple of years, we’ve even seen the Uppababy Vista V2 discounted up to 25 percent off (that almost never happens!) — but it usually sells out while the sale is still exclusive to Nordstrom card holders. Some of the great deals we’ve seen still available when the sale opens to general public include $220 off of the Nuna Mixx Next and $88 off of the Maxi-Cosi Pria.
August: Buy Buy Baby Big Deal Baby Sale
Just as with the January Buy Buy Baby Big Deal Baby Sale, this event offers parents thousands of deals on top-rated baby products from brands like Halo, Evenflo and Chicco. You’ll also find a new Deal of the Day on each day during the sale.
September: Carter’s Baby Love Sale
Another new season, another new wardrobe for baby. Carter’s fall version of this semi-annual sale is typically held in September — so be on the lookout for up to 50 percent off of colder-weather baby apparel.
September: Target Car Seat Trade-In Event
Target’s second Car Seat Trade-In Event of the year is another opportunity for you to recycle your old car seats (in any condition!) in exchange for a 20 percent off coupon. The coupon is good on a new car seat, stroller or select baby gear, and you can feel good about the fact that the materials in your car seat are being recycled, instead of ending up in a landfill.
November: Black Friday and Cyber Monday
As you might have suspected, Black Friday and Cyber Monday are great for getting steep discounts on baby gear from big retailers and small direct-to-consumer brands alike. You’ll want to check stores like Amazon, Target, and Buy Buy Baby as a good starting point, and we can help with that — we keep an updated list of the best Black Friday deals for parents across dozens of retailers. Some of our favorite deals from past years included 20 percent off sitewide at Newton Baby, 40 percent off sitewide at Zutan, and 20 percent off the Uppababy Vista V2 at Buy Buy Baby.
December: Wayfair End of Year Clearance Sale
Lots of retailers have post-holiday sales, and we like Wayfair’s in particular because it offers a wide selection of items for nurseries and kids’ rooms at up to 68 percent off. It’s the perfect time to buy bigger items like cribs, toddler beds, dressers, gliders, changing tables and rugs before going into the new year.
