Primark was one of the shops to reopen last week and customers weren’t disappointed.
From pretty dresses to stylish denim, the store has your out-of-lockdown-look sorted.
However, one outfit unexpectedly caused quite a stir amongst shoppers bringing back fond memories of childhood.
The only problem was, it wasn’t available in big enough sizes.
We are of course talking about the brand’s Elmer the Elephant collection – the much-loved character was a staple on bookshelves around the UK.
Taking to Instagram, Primark said: “”It must be Elmer!” @primark.kids.
Fans were quick to comment on the post, delighted that everyone’s favourite multi-coloured elephant had made its way onto clothing.
“Omggg so cuteeee,” said one adding extra ‘e’s’ to their comment for emphasis.
Another added: “Awww loved this when I was a kid hehe”.
Talk soon got serious, however, with shoppers wanting the range, which included a babygrow, neckerchief, press stud bodysuit and hat, for themselves.
One fan wrote: “Please do this in adult sizes!!”
“Jesus! I actually NEED this!,” said another.
“It’s not even a want it’s a need!”

Another commented along the same vein and added: “I need this in my life!!!” before inserting several crying with laughter emojis.
One added: “I love Elmer too, old school! See you tomorrow Primark”.
One super Elmer fan told fellow commenters that the famous beast can also be bought in other stores (sorry Primark).
“They’ve got some super cute Elmer stuff in Matalan.”
