For all the Instagram purveyors who have been following digital content creator Anum Bashir’s journey from Dubai to Riyadh, and then the birth of her baby, Eden, she shares with Vogue India, her edit of the trendiest clothing to shop for a new-born baby. Eden, born in April, wears tie-dye, organic sleep suits and babygrows, and owns more toys than you and me put together. It also helps that his mama is an influencer, wherein gifts include Ralph Lauren and goodies from Tod’s.
For new mum Bashir, baby outfits were being planned from the moment she knew it would be a baby girl. On the list were cognisant decisions to put design and quality first. “I prefer a more minimal aesthetic when it comes to picking out her clothes,” explains Bashir as she lists out her preferred baby brands like Bonpoint and Studio Clay Baby, among others.
When it came to baby paraphernalia, including carseats and strollers, longevity and safety came first. And for every parents’ lifeline, the baby monitor, it was husband Waqas Farid’s opinion that weighed in. “We went with one from The Nanit. It is quite tech heavy, which my husband loves.”
She gives us her list of websites, designers and products that have been amazing to explore as a first-time mother. It’s what keeps Eden cool, and we’re happy to take notes.
