Jovi & Yara’s Parenting of Mylah Called Into Question

Jovi Dufren AND Yara Zaya are learning the ropes of being mom and dad to baby daughter Mylah. But 90 Day Fiancé fans are divided over their parenting.

Star couple of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? Yara Zaya and Jovi Dufren, who are mom and dad to baby daughter Mylah, are worrying fans with their parenting skills. The young TLC pair is a recent addition to the season 6 cast after Yara and Jovi’s last stint on 90 Day Fiancé season 8. Jovi and Yara already had plenty of highs and lows to deal with, but parting has seemingly put a toll on their honeymoon period. With Yara dealing with adjusting to a new country as a mother to a newborn, and Jovi trying hard to discard his party boy lifestyle, the duo is clashing over their baby duties. Jovi being too reckless and Yara being overcareful has made 90 Day Fiancé fans wonder about their role as parents.

While episode 3 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? had Yara bickering over Jovi’s mother Gwen’s passive-aggressive ways, this week saw the Ukrainian star being too focused on her baby and not being ready to take her break. Jovi’s suggestion to Yara of relaxing a little or head out for a trip made her snap at him and say how she might think of a vacation only after Mylah is six months, or maybe more. But although 90 Day Fiancé cast member Jovi thought of Yara being unreasonable, she also revealed how he’s let Mylah slip from his grab as he once dozed off to sleep.

She’s a kid, kids get hurt, life goes on,” was Jovi’s excuse, as 90 Day Fiancé fans later also trashed him for saying Yara breastfeeding in a restaurant was odd and illegal. With Jovi reminiscing the days when he and Yara used to “travel a lot, party a lot,” throughout the episode, he also mentioned how getting married and having a baby immediately after had hardly let him understand each other, or figure out the parenting game. The conversation gathered momentum online as a 90 Day Fiancé fan on Reddit, MysteriousDream2, asked fellow viewers, “How do you guys feel about the Jovi & Yara situation?

The TLC fan reasoned that while they are not a parent, Jovi seems to have a point about Yara being able to “pass the baby over sometimes for her own sanity.” And then, there was Yara’s side about the young 90 Day Fiancé mother having to be alone with the infant for “months at a time.” Several fans agreed that in this case, both Jovi and Yara are right. “She needs to let Jovi step up and parent,” wrote one fan, while adding that Yara’s husband won’t really lean daddy duties unless she lets him. “He is gonna need a little time and PRACTICE to know what’s right. And she isn’t giving him that chance,” said a different fan.

Meanwhile, fans also noted that Yara is not being irrational or over the top at all as Jovi indicates, but as hinted at plenty of times during 90 Day Fiancé, she does need a breather. Jovi may not be the best bet for Yara to look after Mylah due to his being “clumsy and ignorant.” The young mom should be willing to let Gwen help her around when he’s gone. The preview for episode 5 of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After? had Jovi revealing there’s a bigger problem at hand. How this “bad news” would affect Yara, Jovi, and Mylah’s future on the show is sure to be a reason for further fan debates.
