The Star Wars universe is an absolutely timeless fictional world. With the release of The Mandalorian in 2019, new and old fans of the franchise fell in love with Baby Yoda who was later revealed to be named Grogu. In the second season of the series, viewers got to know more about the little green guy, including how much he loves to eat, which is the inspiration for a new Hasbro toy.
We’ve seen tons of toys and accessories that include Baby Yoda’s imagery since 2019, but this new product from Hasbro might be one of the most hi-tech. Aptly called Galactic Snackin’ Grogu, this toy is motorized and can actually interest and “eat” the toy accessories it comes with.
This Grogu can move and hold the included accessories, so you can hear coos and sounds as the foods get closer to the toy, he can also reach up to be held, use The Force, and slurp his food. The accessories include the famous blue macarons Grogu ate on Nevarro, a bowl of tentacle soup, and the knob from one of the Razor Crest’s shifters.
Galactic Snackin’ Grogu is currently available for pre-order on Amazon for $79.99 and, according to the listing, it will be released on December 1, 2021. It was confirmed that season three of The Mandalorian will premiere around Christmastime this year, so that means the toy will be out just in time for the new season and for the holidays. It may be too early to think that far ahead…but I know what I’ll be hoping for under my tree.
