Community Baby Shower For New Parents

Mayci from Healthy Start stopped by News15 at Noon virtually to share about the upcoming Community Baby Shower.

The community baby shower is a free event designed to provide health education and community resources for new parents of the community. It is also an event that we host for those who may not have the means to host a baby shower of their own. The goal of the event is to have the families of our community feel supported and celebrated along their parenting journey. Healthy Start is able to achieve this with the co-sponsorship of Healthy Blue and Lafayette Parks and Recreation.

The first 100 people to sign in will receive a free diaper bag as a gift. There will also be a vendor tour of a wide variety of community organizations and resources. There will be free grab and go lunches, fun activities, and great door prizes including 3 grand prizes. Weather pending, enjoy the day outside at Brown Park from 10AM-12PM.

The event is Mother’s Day themed, but it is open to the public.
