Bindi Irwin has announced her due date to give birth is in “about a week” and shared photos of adorable new baby clothes in a heartfelt Instagram post.
“With our due date about a week away and waiting for our baby girl to arrive, Chandler and I are proud to share a special project that we’ve been working on for months with our Australia Zoo team,” Bindi announced.
The “special project” is a range of baby items which come under the “Baby Wildlife Warrior” label.
“This limited edition Baby Wildlife Warrior range means so much to us, we hope you love it too,” Bindi posted.
The range includes clothing printed with pictures of Australian wildlife and wooden keepsakes bearing messages such as “Hello world, I’m new here”.
The post appeared to put to bed rumours that Bindi may have already become a mum in secret.
The frenzy of speculation was fuelled by some unusual and out-of-character social media activity from the wildlife warrior.
Photos of Bindi’s growing bump had been a regular feature on her Instagram account until six days ago, leading some fans to believe she has secretly delivered her baby daughter over the past few days.
On Sunday, rather than sharing a new image, Bindi posted a black and white throwback photo that had previously appeared on her husband’s Instagram account.
The image, which Chandler had shared with his followers more than a week ago, shows the environmentalist holding her stomach along with the caption: ‘My world’.
On Monday, Bindi didn’t post a photo of her bump at all, instead choosing to post an image of a possum wrapped in a blanket.
Speaking of the speculation, The Morning Show entertainment editor Peter Ford said: “In recent weeks, she’s been putting up pictures of her baby bump, but for this latest one she’s hasn’t put up a baby bump, she’s actually put up a possum in a blanket picture.”
“That’s what they’re basing it off.”
